Careers and Transition Pathways Faculty
The Careers and Transition Pathways offers support and guidance to students as they prepare for the world of work. The courses offer unit standards and are designed for students who will struggle with a full achievement standard course. There is a strong focus on improving the students' literacy and transition to work skills and within the Construction Academy, on the practical workshop skills that will form a strong base for pursuing a building apprenticeship. In the Level 3 Gateway course, students are required to source their own work placement in a career of their choice and they spend one day a week on this placement.
