9D Service day

9D spent a day at Parry Kauri Park (next to the Warkworth Museum), working on the Kauri Park track and tree plantings. They met with, and worked under the supervision of, two members of the Kauri Bushmen association Ray and Merv. These fine gentlemen are an inspiration to us all, giving so much of their time and energy for the community. For 9D, who were investigating the role of volunteers and the need for each of us to contribute to the community we live in, this day was great. The sun was out, the baking was delicious and the sense of pride and achievement in doing for others was palpable.
