Yr 7 & 8 Students enjoy Technology Challenge at Orewa
12 Year 7 and 12 year 8 students recently competed at a Technology Challenge event that was held at Orewa College. The activities included such things as structure building, marble runs, and paper plane flying. All the students had a great day and improved their team work and and thinking skills in addition to their practical skills. Events had to be completed in 30 minutes and then teams were judge on such attributes as height of structure or distance flown depending on the challenge.
The event has increased in popularity over the last few years with nearly 200 students from schools from the North shore and Rodney region attending.
