Technology Expo Aug 25th 6pm-7pm in the Auditorium

On Thursday, the 25th of August from 6-7pm, we will be holding our annual Technology Expo Evening.
The event showcases student work from every Technology area, including Fashion Design, Woodwork and Furniture, Design Technology, Food Technology, Hospitality, and Graphic Design.
Highlights of the short, one hour event include a catwalk fashion show with students modeling creations from Fashion Design, live demonstrations of 3D printing with 3D models on display, finger foods expertly prepared and served by our Hospitality students, Furniture, Technological and Mechanical creations on display, and visual presentations of creative work from our Graphic Design students.
Your child will have been preparing work to be used in this presentation for some time, and we would like to invite you to see the results of their efforts, as well as that of the other students.
The senior Technology students are expected to attend - to set up displays and present their work, as well as having the opportunity to see the work of their peers. Please support them in getting to the event if possible, and if they can't make it, please provide a note to that effect to their subject teacher before the event. School uniform is not required on the evening.
Students who are successful in Technology subjects often go on to have the biggest impact on our daily lives. The hospitality industry is huge in New Zealand, and our top chefs, restauranteurs and serving staff are second to none. We lead the world in many areas of design and engineering, from Americas Cup yachts, to green energy. Our fashion designers are recognised and respected globally, and we have a history of ingenuity and craftsmanship that goes back to our first settlement in the country. At Mahurangi College we are proud to support the students who will go on to shape our world, and hope that you will do the same.
