Top Achiever - exceptional students, excellence academic records, leadership potential. Up to $20,000 p.a. in first year. Closes 23 August.

Maori/Pacific Academic Excellence - for students with Maori/Pacific heritage with excellent academic records and active participation in community, cultural and other activities. $20,000 over 3 years. Closes 23 August.

Academic Potential - academic Achievement, hardship or disadvantaged - $6,000 -  $20,000 over 3 years. Closes 23 August.

Biggar Family Scholarshi - first member of immediate family to attend Uni, and financial hardship. Closes 1 November.

Vice Chancellors Significant Student – leadership through academic excellence, high achievement in sporting, cultural or community involvement. $6,500 p.a. fees contribution. Closes 1 September.

AUT Kiwa Undergraduate Scholarship (Maori & Pacific students) - academically able, leadership potential. $6,500 p.a. Closes 1 September.

Woolf Fisher First-in Family Scholarship - full tuition fees. Closes 28 March 2018.

Sir Hillary Scholarship - online application. Up to $10,000 p.a. Closes on 31 August.

School Leaver - automatic award - NCEA L2 with Merit. $varies.  Closes on 31 August.

Computer Science - $5,000 for BCMS, BSc, BE (Hons), BCGD. Closes on 31 August.

Science/Engineering Admission Fees – $4,000 entrance scholarship. Closes 31 August.

DV Bryant - up to $7,000 for Halls of Residence fees. Closes 1 October for round 1 and 1 March 2018 for round 2.

Albany Vice Chancellor’s Natural Sciences Excellence Award - studying B. Natural Sciences at Albany. $5,700 p.a. Potential total $30,000. Closes 20 August.

Albany Vice-Chancellor’s Innovation & Academic Excellence Award - college nominates one student - Academic excellence, innovative initiatives, thinking ‘outside the square’. $5,000. Study at Albany Campus. Closes 20 August.

Encouraging Kiwis into Engineering – full fees up to $30,000. Closes 30 August.

Victoria Excellence - $5,000. No reference required. Complete application online - academic merit only NCEA L2 with Excellence. Must come from Yr 11, Yr 12 credits - not Yr 13. May be for up to 3 years - normally 1 year. Closes 15 September.

Victoria Achiever - $5,000. Reference required. Print off a PDF checklist document. NCEA L2 with Merit. Maori, PI, disability, financial hardship. Closes 15 September.

Victoria Vice-Chancellors Excellence - Awarded to top 20 from Excellence scholarship and top person in each category of Achiever Scholarship - $20,000 over 3 years. Closes 15 September.

Go Canterbury - for students from Auckland and Wellington. Contributes to accommodation costs. $5,000. Closes 15 August.

International First Year - top achieving International students. $10,000 - $20,000. Closes 15 August.

UC Undergraduate Entrance - Up to $6,000. Automatic entrance. Closes 15 August.

Russell McVeagh - Law - $1,000 for first year. $2,000 for following years up to 4 years. Reference required. Closes 5pm, 21 July. 

Keystone Trust - Property Industry - $5,000 p.a. for 3 years. Closes 31 August.

Waitemata Health - Nursing. Maori & Pacifica students. $1,700. Closing date TBA.

IPENZ Foundation - $4,000 - for first year engineering students - motivation to succeed, academic merit and contribution to the wider community. Closes 27 October (TBC).

FMG Agricultural - $5,000 each year of Agriculture Degree at Lincoln, Waikato or Massey. Closes 5 December (TBC). 

Mahurangi College Scholarships: - Applications for the below scholarships, where applicable, will be called for toward the end of term 3. Scholarships change each year.

Community Scholarship - Academic achievement, contribution to college, and tertiary study. $2,000.

Rotary - David Sheat Memorial Scholarship - for outstanding academic ability and continuing tertiary studies in at least one of the Maths/Science subjects - $1,000.

Dolly Wynyard - for tertiary studies in Art or Music - amount to be decided each year.

Gladys Partridge Scholarship - Health Studies - $1,500.

McDonald Adams Optometrists - TBA.

The Warkworth Driving Academy Year 12 Leaver's Scholarship - $250 and a book. Awarded to one male and one female. 

Bailey Earley Memorial Scholarship - for students who demonstrate academic and creative strengths in the computer game development industry.

New Zealand School of Tourism Scholarship - awarded to a student who is attending school the next year, may be studying Tourism/Geography.
