Facilities and Map

Mahurangi College has excellent facilities, which provide learning opportunities for students in the academic, cultural, technological and sporting areas of the curriculum. Roll growth has been such that existing facilities are currently being upgraded and added to.

The school is particularly well equipped for information technology. There are four fully equipped computer rooms with Apple Mac computers. A school-wide network connects the main computing facilities with computers in each classroom. This enables wide use of the Internet, e-mail and the school's intranet.Online Results pages are available for students to monitor their progress.

The College has excellent sporting facilities with a refurbished older gymnasium, a brand new Gymnasium, indoor heated swimming pool, astro-turf and hard court areas and spacious playing fields.

There is an adjacent area set aside for Horticulture with two classrooms, a large glass house and a cultivation area.

The technology block has had major upgrade that included a CAD computer draughting facility with computers and an Electronics room. This area of the school is now fully resourced to implement the new Technology curriculum. Food Technology is now taught in a modern suite with a commercial kitchen.

The spacious library can cater for up to three classes of students at the same time; the Junior block with 8 inter-linking classrooms for our Year 7 and 8 students; and a modern Science block with 7 science laboratories, new classrooms and a modern preparation area.

The Art Design and Photography area has an attached computer lab and, with the Palms courtyard, provides a conducive environment for the Creative Arts

Present developments include a modern hall for use by the school and community along with a new student canteen next to the Swimming Pool in the centre of the school.
