Netball - Senior 1 captains blurb
This year senior 1 graded in the Open A division for North Harbour and had an outstanding first half of the season only losing 2 games to Takapuna and Kaipara. On the annual sports exchanges the girls played some outstanding games of Netball bringing fire to the courts each game. Unfortunately against Mount Roskill they only lost by 2 points and against Hauraki Plains College, again the girls put up a good fight but lost by 7. Mahurangi College Senior 1 holds the Matoma Cup for another year after defeating Rodney College and Otamatea College. Each player brought their own personal touch to the team and the game, without these girls and their incredible attitudes, the early morning trainings wouldn’t be worth it. Also a special Mention to our Coach, Maree Drost, and Manager, Liana Ruland, for all their work behind the scenes. The season would not have been the same without you!
