Coach Support Initiative

Harbour Sport run an Initiative called the Coach Support Initiative (CSI). This programme gives our schools access to a Community Coach Leader who works with the local schools and clubs to help support and develop coaches. This is a fully funded Sport New Zealand project and therefore at no cost you [the coaches] of our schools and clubs.

Damian Tuiloma is the Coaching Leader for the Mahurangi area and he can help provide workshops, one on one coach development, coach development plans, general communication regarding new coaching techniques, help with problem-solving and general coach support.  

Throughout the year he is at your disposal and can help you as much as you wish with your coaching. Damian will be hosting workshops in August to help promote coaching in the Mahurangi area.

As a coach of Mahurangi College, you are encouraged to make contact with Damian with a little blurb about yourselves and why you got into coaching. Please include anything you can think of that Damian could help you, and others, with regarding coaching. That way he can get to know you all a bit better.

Damian also comes to the college on a regular basis to run a workshop for our student coaches to give them support with their coaching of our junior teams.
