1st XI Boys hockey play at the Mayhill Cup held in Pukekohe

1st XI Boys hockey went to the Mayhill Cup at Pukekohe last week. They were in the most even pool and missed out getting second by one goal. The team did however revenge their loss to Hauraki Plains College defeating them 4-2 followed by comfortably beating Kamo high school 3-0 before playing Hutt Vally High School. In a tight exciting game that was 3-3 at full time, we went through two stages of drop off players, to get to one on one with the goal keepers. Unfortunately we lost in this 2-1. Overall final place was 12th in the tournament. Theo Neumann was our top goal scorer and third highest in the whole tournament with 8 goals. The students were excellently behaved and a credit to the college in the way they behaved both on and off the field.
