Intermediate Boys Hockey North Harbour CHAMPIONS!

The Intermediate Boys and Girls hockey teams competed at the North Harbour Hockey zone days last week. The girls had mixed results against quality sides, the highlight of the day being their opening 4-0 win over Birkdale and securing a top 8 finish, resulting in 8th place overall. The boys finished top of their pool and advanced to the quarter and semi final rounds in good form. Wins against Pinehurst and Albany Junior saw the team come up against Northcross Intermediate in the final. A nail biting closely contested final was in a 0-0 deadlock until the closing minute when Mahurangi converted off a penalty corner, taking a 1-0 win and finishing the day as undefeated champions! Congratulations boys, bring on Auckland Champs!!
