This is the first step on our umpire development programme. Being an umpire can lead onto many exciting opportunities.

Junior umpires are required to be available to umpire on either a Monday or Tuesday evening or Saturday morning, dependent on the grade you are appointed to.

Umpires will be appointed as follows;

Monday

Year 6’s - Yr 3/4 grade (1⁄4 turf)
Year 7 & 8’s – Yr 5/6 (1⁄4 turf) and Yr 5/6 (1⁄2 turf) grades Year 9’s & above (beginner) – 11 aside Intermediate C & D Boys grade.

Tuesday

Year 9’s & above (beginner) – 6 aside Intermediate Grade

Year 9’s & above (experienced) – 11 aside Intermediate A & B grades

Saturday

Year 9 & above (beginner) – 11 aside Intermediate C Girls grade

‚óèUmpires must be Year 6 and above
‚óèAll umpires will receive a whistle and be issued with a jacket (to be returned at the end of the season). 6 aside umpires will also receive an Umpires Hand Book.
‚óèUmpires receive a small remuneration which will be paid at the end of the season. ‚óèRegistration fee of $10.00 can be paid either online when you register, at the office, or on Muster night.

All umpires must attend the Muster/training evening which will be held on Monday 2nd May. Further information will be emailed to you prior to this date.
