Year 7&8 TAG team came third at the North Harbour ARL TAG

The Year 7&8 TAG Team went to Sunnynook on Tuesday 8 March to compete in the North Harbour ARL TAG Competition. The Team was Lead by Patrick McKinnon and Terrayne Collins-Maginley. They had 4 games which they played very well. The Team to beat was Northcross Intermediate who we played first, going down 10 -0. Next was Whangaparaoa 1. After our earlier set back we sharpened our game and won 7-0. Our next game was a do or die tussle in which we needed to beat Birkdale. Sadly this was not to be, with us going down 1-5.

Our last game of the day was Whangaparaoa 2 who we had to beat if we wanted to come third. The focus was on playing, having fun and good rips. The team was coached by Lenny Maginley ( A New Zealand TAG Player). The tactics were sound and the boys played them to the best of their ability and won the game 6-1. Also in the team was: Thomas Peacock, Taj Oliver, Dan D’Urban Burgess, Grady Collis, Ty Connolly, Rhys Niccolls, Jared Membery, Cam Taylor and Andre Farnell.
