Boys and Girls teams win the Nth Harbour Yr9&10 Touch Comp

Mahurangi College Boys A Win the North Harbour Year 9&10 Touch Competition after a close semi-final against Westlake Boys 5-4 after a drop down to 3 players. Mahurangi Girls also followed suit against Westlake Girls again in a drop off winning 4-3. Both teams went on to win their Finals game, the Boys played Rangitoto winning 6-3 and the girls played Kaipara winning 3-0.

So off to the Auckland regionals down in Papakura’s Bruce Pulman Park. The Boys and Girls teams played well both making the Quarter finals and then sadly going down to the eventual winners for both the Boys and Girls grades. Both team place 3rd.

A great effort by all teams and Special thanks to John Hawken and Gwen Hawken and Mariana Winiana for coaching the teams.
