Abingdon School Rugby Exchange 18th - 20th August 2015

Abingdon School, Park Road, Abingdon. Earliest part, to the left completed 1868-70 with the addition to the right completed in 1901-2 with Chapel and Gymansium at the right. The original school buildings houses the chapel, library, and School House, along with several dayboy houses and classrooms. The bell tower is still in use, and the fields in the foreground are used for playing rugby union and cricket

Abingdon School Rugby Exchange 18th - 20th August 2015

Tuesday 18th Aug - Mahurangi to wear Number Ones to school (2nd XV to wear clean tidy school uniform with school jacket).

1.10pm        1st XV & 2nd XV meet in Whare to go over powhiri & program

2.20pm        Mahu go to period 5

3.20pm        everyone meets in Whare to powhiri Abingdon      

3.30pm        Abingdon arrive at Mahurangi College

3.40pm        Powhiri - Maori Welcome

4.00pm        Organise billets

4.10pm        Light afternoon tea

4.30pm        Mahurangi teams training

                            Abingdon teams light training 

6.00pm        Mahu & billets go home

Wednesday 19th Aug - Mahurangi to wear Number Ones to school

8:40am       Mahurangi students take billets to whanau class with them

8:50am       Abingdon students go to Marae to meet with Mr. Winiana who will teach them some maori basics and maybe a maori song or haka.  Mahu students go to period 1.

9:50am       Mahu 2nd XV and Abingdon 2nd Team meet at Whare for game 1 pre-match Organisation Unfortunately this game is now transferred to the Mahurangi Rugby Club

11:00am      Game 1 Mahu 2nd XV vs. Abingdon 2nd Team Unfortunately this game is now transferred to the Mahurangi Rugby Club

11:45am      1st XV and Abingdon 1st Team meet at Whare for game 2 pre-match Organisation Home Game

12:45pm      Game 2 Mahu 1st XV vs Abingdon 1st Team Home Game

2:30pm       after match function 

3:20pm       Go Home

6:00pm       Mahurangi/Abingdon staff dinner at Bridgehouse Anyone interested in hanging out with the Abingdon staff please let me know so I can make bookings

 Thursday 20th Aug - Mahurangi to wear normal school uniform

8:30am       Mahurangi & Abingdon students meet up at hall.

                  Abingdon to leave by 9am.
