Sam Dobson, ex-Mahurangi Student, wins the Rotorua Marathon
Sam Dobson, an ex-mahurangi student, won the Rotorua Marathon last Saturday May 2nd. Sam Dobson, 29, was first across the line in the iconic event in 2:29:04, 27 seconds ahead of three times winner Phil Costley. His time was a personal best on what is a very difficult marathon course. He joins Stephen Lett, another ex-mahurangi student who won the Auckland Marathon last November. Les Cave, recently retired from the mahu staff, completed his 52nd marathon (20th Rototrua) on Saturday as well.
