More success for Mahu students at the U18 UWH National Champs in Manurewa
After a weekend of competition at the U18 National Champs in Manurewa, The Northern Mens A team with Forrest Axford came first. The Mens Northern B team with Max Hargreaves and Elliot Snedden came 6th and the Girls Northern B team with Rebecca Twhigg and Amelia Arnerich came 5th.
This tournament was used for the selection of the New Zealand Under 19 Boys & Girls Training Squads for the 2015 Age Group Underwater Hockey World Championships to be held in Spain in August 2015. Congratulations to Amelia Arnerich and Forrest Axford who were successful in gaining selection into these New Zealand Squads.
All the Mahurangi College players performed exceptionally well at the Tournament and were a credit to Mahurangi College Head Coach Terry Axford. To have five players at representative level is testament to the fantastic job he is doing with the Mahurangi College teams.
