Former and Current Mahurangi Students win Auckland Championship Title

Mr Ben Howson and Brooke Adamson from Sandspit Yacht Club recently won the Auckland Phase 2 Championship sailed of Tamaki Yacht Club. Brooke has been a member of the college sailing team for three years. A steady breeze made the crews work hard, while the outgoing tide made choosing the right side of the course critical. Mr Howson and Brooke sailed a consistent series to record a 2, 1,1,1,1 to narrowly hold out another Mahurangi student, Georgia Woodall who came second with the current New Zealand champion coming in third.
