Tour Programme : Terms 1 - 4, 2018
Note: Costs are estimates only and will vary slightly based on student numbers. A minimum of five students is required for a trip to proceed. All transport is in a mini van, (maximum of two vans only.) Parental permission is NOT required as trips are fully supervised by the College international student Director. The cost includes, transport, accommodation, food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and ALL activities. There are no ‘optional extras,’ except for bungy and sky dive in Queenstown. If tours are pre paid and do not go ahead, the money is refunded to the student.

Term 1:(with costs)
Orientation: $Nil Introduction to Warkworth town and local area, Goat Island Marine Reserve local beaches (including swimming), Snells Beach and Algies Bay
Shopping Outings: $30 local Shopping Mall with movies if needed.
Surfing: $65 Lessons at Omaha Beach, and swimming
High Ropes Confidence Course: $65 Woodhill forest Tree Adventures, followed by hot thermal pools swim Parakai Springs
Ten pin bowling, hot pools: Whangaparoa and Waiwera $45
South Island Trip: 1 April – 14 April: $1750 14 day tour of the South Island starting from Warkworth drive south through North Island viewing Tongariro National Park and LakeTaupo to the ferry crossing on Cook Strait. Then to Motueka and sea kayaking. Travel the West Coast - Hokitika (green-stone factories), Fox glacier, Haast, cross the mountains to Lake Wanaka (Puzzling World), Queenstown, (Optional Sky dive and or bungy), Milford Sound cruise, Lake Tekapo and Mt Cook, Kaikoura whale watching, and then back to Warkworth
Term 2:
Shopping Outings and High Ropes and Hot pools visits: costs as above
Coromandel: $390 Three day trip, travel around the beautiful Coromandel peninsula south of Auckland, Hot Water beach, Cathedral Cove, paintball and archery, abandoned gold mines
Far North: $540 Four day trip around both west and east coasts of Northland to far north at Cape Reinga, Waipoua kauri forest and giant kauri tree Tane Mahuta, Hokianga harbour and entrance, sand dune ‘surfing,’ fishing expedition on the Bay of Islands at Paihia, or 'Swim with the Dolphins' Cruise, glow worm caves at Waiomio.
Rotorua: $490 Three day trip, Rotorua scenic attractions – Agrodome, gondola and luge rides, Te Puia thermal area (geysers, mud pools etc) and Maori cultural show, white water rafting on Kaituna river (world’s largest commercially rafted waterfall!)
Central North Island: $390 Visit world famous Waitomo caves and glow worms; jet boating on the Waikato river, Taupo and Huka falls; Aratiatia rapids; Hobbiton movie set (Lord of the Rings). Three days.
Term 3:
Same activities as above
South Island Trip: 16 September – 29 September, costs and activities as above
Term 4:
Surfing: as for Term 1.
Far North Tour (four days), Tour of both coasts, fishing or 'swim with the dolphines' in the Bay of Islands at Paihia, Waipoua forest giant kauri trees, Hokianga harbour, 90 mile beach (gather shellfish - pipis - for dinner!), Cape Reinga (Te Rerenga Wairua) the most northern part of New Zealand where two oceans clash, Kauri gum diggers' village, glow worm caves, Hundertwasser toilets in Kawakawa (!), sand dune 'surfing' on giant sand dunes of Te Paki.
Coromandel Tour (three days), touring the beautiful coastline of the Coromandel peninsula just south of Auckland. Visit old gold mines, Catherdral Cove, make your own baths at Hot Water beach, paintball and archery.
Day outings including surfing, high ropes adventure course, shopping mall for souvenirs, Ten pin bowling and thermal hot pools.
This programme will finish in the first week of December and this will cover the gap between the end of tuition and the end of term four. The two tours will have all costs paid for - all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner); transport, accommodation, and activities. This will be paid as part of the term four tuition fee. The tours' costs and day outings will come from this fee.
