Fitness Programme

This is a new programme that is proving increasingly popular for our international students. It gives students the opportunity during school time to do a fitness / weight training option as one of their subjects. It is held at the local Fitness Centre (within easy walking distance of the college) and students may choose this as one of their choices. It will be one hour per school day and costs currently NZ$15 per week. (A special rate has been negotiated with the Warkworth Fitness Centre.) Students may do this programme on weekends as well. The student is introduced to fitness training, given an individual programme along with safe use of the gym equipment (weights, exercise machines etc) and their programme is monitored and adjusted by the instructors as needed. In order for a student to do this programme, permission must be obtained form their parents (an email to the Director is sufficient) or can be stated on their subject choice form when returned to the college on their application. During student orientation on arrival at the college, the Director will discuss this further with interested students as part of their final subject course timetable.
