On Wednesday 29th of June, 10 students attended the, iSport Foundation Student Leadership Day at the Vodafone Events Centre. We were given the privilege to listen to highly esteemed guest speakers talk about their path to success, the lessons they learned and words of wisdom to reach their goals. Guest speakers included sporting greats Jon Walker, Dan Carter, Richie McCaw and Temepara Bailey, as well as inspirational global cyclist Jeremy Scott and Dr Ralph Pim. Below are some inspiring quotes and messages the guest speakers shared with us;

John Walker  - “Dream it, live it and believe it”

Ralph Pim - “Leadership is the ability to make everyone around you better, to be energized and all working together towards a common goal”

Dan Carter- “Express yourself and your goals. Then back yourself 100% to make them successful”

Richie McCaw -“The game doesn’t start at the whistle, but with weeks preparation building up to it. It's all about the preparation - have a plan, write down things you need to do to play your best and create game consistency”

Temepara Bayley- “Ask for constructive criticism all the time”
