Netball Zone Day - Year 8 Girls
<p><span style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">The Year 8/1 Netball girls had a great start to their Netball Zone Day last week! Our first game, we played Kristin school winning by a massive score and then went on to play Whangaparoa, which was a close game; and won by 2 points. Our third game was against the undefeated school Northcross 8/1. We lost to Northcross and so we ended up 2nd in our pool.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">Semi finals was against Carmel Intermediate 8/1 and although the girls battled hard, we also lost that game. We played Al</span><span style="display: inline; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">bany Junior in the 7th/8th place play off and the final score was a draw, which meant the girls ended up 7th=. We enjoyed chanting for the Mahu boys & the 7/1 Girls Team and we appreciated them coming to watch the experts playing netball, and trying to chant for us. Overall, we enjoyed the day! A Big Thanks to Denise Le Bas for her help, Heidi for her invaluable umpiring skills and Mrs Daysh for watching over us.</span></p>
