Boys Netball Zone Day at North Harbour

On Tuesday 28th July 2015, Mahurangi Year 8 boys participated in the Netball North Harbour Intermediate Zone Day on the North Shore. The bad weather (there was an expected weather bomb) stayed away for the whole day which made for perfect outdoor netball conditions. It took one game for the boys to gel together as a team and they had a very tense and exciting second game against Wairau; loosing out by just one goal in the last five seconds.

 
The standard of netball on the day from the boys tournament was outstanding and the Mahu boys were improving with each game. They played an awesome game against Albany Junior and won their plate final 6-5. Congratulations to all the players for being great role models all day, representing Mahu with pride. A big thank you to all our supporters, Mr Dockary for coaching and Aimee and Heidi for umpiring our games!
