A scientific calculator is essential. |
Prerequisites: |
---|
12 credits in level 2 physics. Minimum of 10 external credits or with Head of Faculty approval. |
Learning Strategies: |
---|
Where possible, experimental investigations will lead to an operational understanding of basic physical concepts, principles and models. This leads to problem solving and applications. The course requires students to complete a significant amount of homework and guided study. |
Main Areas of Study: |
---|
Collect and analyse experimental data. Key physics topics: mechanics, electricity, electromagnetism, light and waves and nuclear physics. Students also have the opportunity to complete an additional internal standard on the applications of physics in a selected context. |
