    L3DRA L3 Drama 18-22 credits Yr: 13
    4 credits externally assessed and 14-18 credits internally assessed. This is a university approved subject.
    Costs:
    Students will be expected to meet the cost of attending at least one professional theatre performance. Ticket prices and transport costs will be taken into account (approx $40 per performance). They may also be required to provide materials for costumes or props where necessary.
    Prerequisites:
    Achieved 12 Level 2 Drama credits or by consultation with the teacher in charge of drama.
    Learning Strategies:
    Students will continue to develop their skills as a performer and public speaker. They will work with scripts to create group performances and, at Level 3, may chose to present a solo performance from a scripted monologue. Student will also create an original drama performance by exploring how professional artists create new shows. Class work is highly practical and involves a lot of class discussion and practical work. As part of the learning process students will also view professional theatre performances and may be involved in working with professional theatre companies and personnel.
    Main Areas of Study:
    Developing an actor's use of drama techniques through the performance of short scripts.
    Performing a significant acting role in a scripted production.
    Devising an original drama from a key concept.
    Discussing how drama aspects are used within live theatre.
