    Prerequisites:
    This course welcomes all students and does not require any specific prerequisites. However, having prior experience in Digital Technologies at Level 2 and possessing strong problem-solving and mathematical skills will be advantageous for learners.
    It is highly recommended for students to have their own laptop with either Windows or Mac operating systems.
    Learning Strategies:
    This practical course aims to equip learners with the expertise to produce digital outcomes in Programming, Game Design, or Web Design. Students will be encouraged to cultivate independent work abilities and strong self-management skills throughout the course.
    The skills and knowledge acquired in this course will serve as a valuable asset in a wide range of tertiary study areas, including but not limited to computer science, information science, engineering, architecture, business development, design, business administration, and engineering.
    Main Areas of Study:
    Year 13 Digital Technology (NCEA Level 3) builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in Year 12 Digital Technology. Students will enhance their understanding of managing digital outcomes, including ethical considerations related to their use, as well as the fundamental design elements and application software.
    The curriculum covers the following areas:
    Crafting a compelling proposal that aligns with the project requirements for the chosen Digital Outcome.
    Clarifying the purpose of the digital project through thorough research and idea generation, and developing a suitable design accordingly.
    Implementing and developing the digital technologies outcome through intricate processes, involving planning, testing, and experimentation.
    The external report component focuses on composing a reflective analysis of the digital outcome's development journey.
