| Learning Strategies: | ||||
| In this course, students will deepen their understanding of dance techniques and choreographic principles. They will perform in the Dance Showcase in order to demonstrate their performance skills in an authentic environment. Students will also choreograph a dance to develop and resolve ideas, demonstrating their understanding of the purpose and function of choreographic devices and performance technologies. | ||||
| Main Areas of Study: | ||||
| The internal assessments of this course are divided equally between choreography and performance while the external requires students to analyse a professional dance work. All students in this course will be expected to perform in the Dance Showcase in term three, including a tech rehearsal day two weeks prior, as part of their performance assessments. | ||||
