    10 credits externally assessed and 12 credits internally assessed. This is a university approved subject.

    12 credits from Level 2 English (external course) or with Head of Faculty approval.
    Learning Strategies:
    Analysis of the ideas and values of different cultures with a focus being Virgil's Aeneid and Alexander the Great's leadership. Examination of evidence and texts and an understanding of the major influences of the period studied.
    Main Areas of Study:
    Students will delve into the classical world to look at Alexander the Great and his policy of fusion Students will analyse the impact of this significant historical figure on the classical world. There will also be an examination and analysis of the ideas and values of the classical world using texts such as the Aeneid and investigating the impact that this has had on the ideals behind beauty and heroes.
