$25 level 3 Chemistry Scipad Student Workbook (Externals and Internals) |
Prerequisites: |
---|
Student are required to achieve in the majority of level 2 chemistry standards, including at least one external assessment, or with Head of Faculty approval. |
Learning Strategies: |
---|
Students will use a range of learning strategies to succeed in Level 3 Chemistry, including hands-on practical work, group discussions, and independent research. Regular revision, summarising key concepts, and using flashcards or visual aids (e.g. reaction pathway maps and spectroscopy spectra) will support retention. Practice with past exam questions and self-assessment tools will build exam confidence. Working collaboratively and seeking feedback will help deepen understanding and improve problem-solving skills. |
Main Areas of Study: |
---|
This Level 3 Chemistry course develops students' understanding of chemical principles through investigation, analysis, and theoretical study. Internally, students will complete a practical investigation, interpret spectroscopic data, and explore redox reactions. Externally, they will study organic reaction pathways and thermochemical principles, including enthalpy and particle properties. The course prepares students for further science study with a focus on real-world applications and critical thinking. |
