    L2MED L2 Media Studies 20 credits Yr: 12
    4 credits externally assessed and 16 credits internally assessed.

    Nil.
    Prerequisites:
    Level 1 English credits including one external standard or Head of Faculty approval.

    It is not necessary for students to have studied media at Level 1 but a sound grasp of comprehension skills, close reading skills and an interest in all things media is strongly recommended.
    Learning Strategies:
    Students will learn through an mix of teacher-led instruction and independent exploration, collaboration, critical thinking, and decision-making.
    Main Areas of Study:
    Senior media studies will expand your horizons and deepen your understanding of media's impact on society and culture.

    We will examine the power of media stereotypes and representation, examining how they shape our understanding of the world around us.
