You’ll write and produce your own short film, working through real-world stages of pre-production, filming and editing. Along the way, you’ll develop practical skills in scriptwriting, camera work, directing and post-production.

But Media Studies isn’t just about making things—it’s about understanding how media shapes the world around us. You'll explore how people and ideas are represented on screen, and study how genre works by diving into a set of powerful, carefully chosen films. These academic components help you think critically about the media you consume and create.

This course is a mix of hands-on filmmaking and analytical thinking. It’s for students who enjoy working creatively but can also commit to thoughtful research, writing and planning.

Whether you are planning a future in media or just want to become a sharper creator and consumer of it, or if you flat out just love films Senior Media Studies offers a challenging and rewarding way to do both.
