    L2MAT L2 Mathematics 17 credits Yr: 12
    Approximately 17 credits, of which 4 credits are externally assessed
    Costs:
    Approximately $50 for workbooks. A scientific calculator is essential for all students, and a BYOD laptop is essential.
    Prerequisites:
    Students MUST have passed both of the Level 1 internal standards (AS 91944 Explore Data and AS 91945 Mathematical Methods).

    Students who do not meet these criteria may be considered on a case-by-case basis following consultation with the Head of Faculty.
    Learning Strategies:
    Students will work on both achievement and unit standards with learning that ranges from directed teaching to more open problem solving tasks.
    Main Areas of Study:
    The main aim of this course is to strengthen and further develop student's numeracy skills. The course will cover trigonometry, coordinate geometry, statistics and a range of calculation based unit standards. Further, students are expected to sit the external assessment.
