    L2MA3 L2 Mathematics Internal Only 17 credits Yr: 12
    Approximately 17 credits. This course is an internal only course and is not eligible for a subject endorsement.
    Costs:
    Approximately $20 for workbooks. A Scientific Calculator is essential.
    Prerequisites:
    A minimum of 12 achieved credits in Level 1 mathematics and achieved or higher in the probability Level 1 external. Students who do not meet these requirements may be considered under discussion with the Head of Faculty.
    Learning Strategies:
    Students will conduct a range of projects and portfolios to document their learning. They will learn through the utilisation of a range of different learning strategies that include: investigations and discovery learning, group work, directed teaching, practice tasks, regular formative and summative assessment.
    Main Areas of Study:
    This course will cover achievement standards at Level 2 at a slightly slower pace than the L2MA2 class. The material covered, where, possible will be slightly more practical and may involve extension into cross curricular tasks. Students will be challenged by this course and will see many areas of mathematics that they have not experienced before. There is a potential for students in this course to progress into Level 3 Statistics or Level 3 Mathematics under recommendation from the Head of Faculty.
