    L2HOS L2 Hospitality 16 credits Yr: 12
    All internally assessed unit standards. This is not a university entrance pathway course.
    Costs:
    Course fee total $295 is made up of materials $215 and assessment materials $80.
    Prerequisites:
    Having done L1 Hospitality is preferred but you may be approved by the TIC Hospitality or HoF, if numbers allow.
    Must have paid the full course fees for the previous year (or made an arrangement with the school).
    It is expected that you will have an electronic device to access some of the course content.
    Learning Strategies:
    A combination of practical cookery, theory and planning lessons. The structure of the class will incorporate group work, research, written and practical tests.
    Main Areas of Study:
    The course is designed as an introduction to working in a commercial kitchen environment. It aims to provide students with foundation skills in cookery and incorporates a wide variety of practical skills e.g. food hygiene and safe food handling practices, maintaining knives, fruit and vegetable cuts, and preparing, cooking and presenting foods using a variety of cooking methods.
