| Learning Strategies: |

| Students will learn through independent learning activities, collaboration, thinking and decision making and by exploring current geographic issues and global topics. Students will be encouraged to develop their knowledge, argue opinions and communicate effectively. This course is also enhanced by geographic research carried out over three days in the Tongariro environment. |

| Key topics are: learning about the Tongariro natural environment; predator free NZ 2050, urban growth Mexico city, and global topic such as coffee production. |
