| This course is designed for those students who would be unlikely to cope with the demands of a full Level 2 English course. Students will need to have attempted the film external in the Level 1 Internal course and will need to pass the visual text external to gain entry into the L3 Internal course. Recommendation by Head of Faculty. |

| The focus will be on reading and writing through a combination of Achievement Standards and Unit Standards, depending on student choice and ability. The majority of texts studied will be visual. |
