| This course is designed for those students who would be unlikely to cope with the demands of a full level 2 English course. Students will need to have passed their level 1 literacy and ideally gained at least one achievement stand at level 1. Students will need to sit the level 2 film external to gain access into level 3 English. Recommendation by Head of Faculty. |

| The focus will be on reading and writing through a combination of achievement standards and unit standards, depending on student choice and ability. The majority of texts studied will be visual. |
