| This course is all about finding your voice as a writer and thinker. You will develop a portfolio of personal writing across genres – whether that’s narrative, reflective, creative, or persuasive – with the freedom to explore topics that matter to you. You will also conduct independent research into a subject of personal interest, building your skills in inquiry, organisation, and written expression. Alongside your own writing, you will read and study a significant text, learning to think critically about humanity, society, and the world through literature. This is your chance to explore big ideas – identity, power, morality, survival – and how writers challenge us to reflect on the world we live in. It gives you space to be expressive, thoughtful, and independent – preparing you for both university study and the kind of writing you will use for life. |
