    9 credits externally assessed and up to 10 credits internally assessed.

    $25 L2 Chemistry Scipad Student Workbook (Externals and Internals)
    Prerequisites:
    12 credits in Level 1 Science, including 4 credits at merit level in the 'Selected Chemical Reactions' standard (AS 90947) or with Head of Faculty approval.
    Learning Strategies:
    Students will undertake a variety of different learning activities including but not limited to, practical work, individual practice, teacher led activities and group work.
    Main Areas of Study:
    Chemistry is the study of the structure and properties of matter. Students will explore the macro, micro and symbolic views of a chemist to explain the properties and reactions of different substances. The two external examinations focus on Organic Chemistry and Structure, Bonding and Energy. The internal standards explore quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis by investigating real life contexts as well as Redox reactions.
