Prerequisites: |

Achievement in year 10 music or equivalent - 3rd year on a music instrument (voice is an instrument) with HOD Music approval. |
Learning Strategies: |
---|
During the course of study, students will creatively prepare and perform music, demonstrating technical skills, stage presentation skills and musicianship, in conjunction with a private music tutor. Composition/songwriting will involve music creation using either notation software or digital audio interface and recording equipment, to shape and structure original musical ideas. Students will learn about sound design for event purposes, and also broaden their range of musical knowledge, theory & styles.

Learning styles will be mostly based on practical opportunities to practice and perform, as well as opportunities to create and compose using music software. Music theory will be taught in context with songwriting/composition. |
