    L1HOS L1 Hospitality 10 credits Yr: 11
    Unit standard credits that are internally assessed. This is not a university entrance pathway course.
    Costs:
    Course fee total $295 is made up of materials $215 and assessment materials $80.
    Prerequisites:
    No prerequisites, however, it is desirable that students would have chosen Food Technology during Year 9 and/or Year 10.
    It is expected that you will have an electronic device to access some of the course content.
    Learning Strategies:
    A combination of practical cookery, theory and planning lessons. The structure of the class will incorporate group work, research, written and practical tests.
    Main Areas of Study:
    The course is designed as an introduction to working in the food industry. It aims to provide students with foundation skills in cookery and incorporates a wide variety of practical cooking skills.
