It is preferable for students to have studied year 9 and 10 art but is not compulsory. Students may choose this option if they have a passion or interest in developing creative skills in design and photography. | ||||
Learning Strategies: | ||||
This course will immerse students in a variety of art design skills and processes, encompassing digital photography and multimedia. Centered around addressing contemporary global and social issues, the course aims to ignite creative thinking. Students will gain hands-on experience with digital art creation and photographic manipulation using Adobe Suite programs, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom. They will explore diverse media, including wet, dry, and digital techniques, learning to generate, develop, and complete a range of design projects. The curriculum will build upon the skills developed in years 7-10, with a strong emphasis on the creative process. Throughout the year, students will engage with various visual art themes that align with industry standards, preparing them for future endeavors in the design field. |

This course will include a range of teaching and learning styles it will include practical tasks and written annotations with a visual presented portfolio and folio board. Students at level 1 can take either L1 Art Design/Photography or L1 Art Painting/Photography but they cannot take both. |
