| It is preferable for students to have studied year 9 and 10 art but is not compulsory. Students may choose this option if they have a passion or interest in developing creative skills in design and photography. | ||||
| Learning Strategies: | ||||
| This course introduces students to digital illustration, photography, graphic design, and visual communication through a range of creative design projects. Students develop original ideas and follow the design process of concepts, developments, and final outcomes to create engaging visual solutions. Using Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom, students build practical design skills while developing creativity, confidence, and visual communication. Building on the foundations established in Years 7–10, the course encourages experimentation, creative thinking, and the exploration of a range of photographic, illustration, and graphic design techniques. | ||||

| This course will include a range of teaching and learning styles it will include practical tasks and written annotations with a visual presented portfolio and folio board. Students at level 1 can take either L1 Art Design or L1 Painting but they cannot take both. |
