$50 total – this includes a $25 student workbook and a $25 admin fee. Instrumental or vocal lessons are a required part of the course. Where possible, free lessons are provided through the school's itinerant music programme. | ||||

Achievement in Year 12 Music or equivalent. Students should be in their fifth year of learning an instrument (including voice). HOD Music approval required. | ||||

Level 3 Music is a creative and flexible course that lets you shape your learning around your strengths and interests. Whether you love performing, enjoy writing and arranging music, or want to explore the deeper meaning behind musical works, this course offers a range of pathways. You'll work with private tutors, collaborate with others, and use digital tools to create and present your ideas. You'll also explore the wider context of a significant piece of music through listening and analysis. | ||||

Students may choose to: - Perform two contrasting programmes of music as a soloist. - Demonstrate ensemble skills through group performance - Compose original pieces or songs - Create arrangements for an ensemble - Complete a research project on a music topic of their choice - As well as analyse the influence of context on a substantial music work (external assessment) Level 3 Music is suited to students who want to deepen their musical skills and understanding while developing their own creative voice.
