    L2MUS L2 Music 20 credits Yr: 12
    4 credits externally assessed and 16 credits internally assessed.
    Costs:
    Performance lessons are an essential part of the course and may incur costs. Student workbook $20 for external theory exam preparation.
    Prerequisites:
    Instrumental ability equivalent to three years of itinerant tuition or at the discretion of the HOD Music.
    Level 1 conventions or equivalent.
    Learning Strategies:
    Individual and group performance skills developed in conjunction with private music tutors. Where possible, students will receive free instrument tuition (voice is an instrument). Performances will be video recorded. Score reading and composition skills will be developed using Sibelius or Musicscore computer programme.
    Main Areas of Study:
    Students will develop performance, compositional and musical knowledge. Theory and score reading will be extensively developed to aid understanding and extension of the above.
